British Fire Consortium Expands Training Offerings and Launches New Website

The British Fire Consortium (BFC) is pleased to announce the successful launch of its brand-new website and the expansion of its training portfolio with the introduction of the Level 3 Award in the Design, Installation, and Maintenance of Emergency Lighting Systems.

The first session of this brand-new course took place in Lincoln earlier this month, delivered by Buddy Squires MIET from Zzeus Training. The course provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of emergency lighting systems, covering design, legislation, installation, and maintenance through both theory and practical work. It is ideal for anyone looking to become a fully competent and qualified Emergency Lighting Technician.

In addition to expanding training, the BFC has launched a new website designed with members in mind. The updated site makes it easier than ever to explore everything the BFC has to offer -from training opportunities and member benefits to the latest industry news and events.

The new platform centralises all the resources members need, helping businesses stay informed, plan team development, and make the most of their membership. Whether accessing course information, enrolling young employees through the Young Persons Foundation, or discovering how the BFC can support their business, it’s now just a few clicks away.

In January, the BFC welcomed three new members to the Young Persons Foundation, completing their induction and taking their first steps toward professional development in the fire safety sector.

The BFC continues to support its members and the wider fire safety community by delivering high-quality training, fostering professional development, and keeping industry standards at the forefront.
