This four-day programme provides a comprehensive understanding of the legislation, regulations, standards, and practical skills required to service and maintain portable fire extinguishers safely and competently.
The training is highly practical, including the discharge and recharge of portable extinguishers, with a strong focus on real-world servicing tasks. It is aimed at technicians who are responsible for commissioning, basic servicing, and extended servicing of portable fire extinguishers.
To achieve the qualification, delegates must pass both a written assessment and a one-to-one practical assessment. Successful candidates gain an Ofqual Level 3 qualification and the competence required to work as a Fire Extinguisher Technician.
