About This Course
Keep your fire extinguisher technicians competent and up to date with the latest industry knowledge through our 1-day refresher course.
As per Annexe 1 of BS 5306 Part 3, fire extinguisher technicians must complete a refresher course to remain competent. This refresher is required every 3 years.

Session Details
A 4 day course consisting of 32 learning hours 50/50 practical and theory based.
The Course covers…
- the relevant legislation, regulations, and codes of practice relevant to servicing and maintaining portable fire extinguishers
- combustion, classes of fire, and extinguisher media
- fire extinguishers and their components
- selection and positioning of portable fire extinguishers

To pass the course candidates will need to pass a written paper and a one on one practical assessment. Not only does this course give candidates the competency currently needed to perform as a Fire Extinguisher Technician it also now gives them an SCQF Level 6 Qualification.
