EAL Level 3 Award in the Inspection of Fire Doors 610/4450/7
The BFC Fire Door Inspection Course is a Regulated OFQUAL Level 3 Qualification. It is a 2 day course consisting of 14 learning hours and is both practical and theory based.
The course covers
- the relevant regulations and standards applicable to the inspection of fire doors.
- the importance of the critical components such as seals and ironmongery.
- timber and non-timber fire doors.
- how to perform a full inspection of both certified and nominal fire doors.
To pass the course candidates will need to pass a written EAL examination paper and perform a practical assessment by carrying out a full inspection on two fire doors.
This course is suitable for anyone wishing to inspect fire doors such as building managers, caretakers, and facility managers to those already in the fire trade. Upon the successful completion of the course candidates will be able to demonstrate industry competency to inspect fire doors.
